Introduction:

About our District:

Border Creek Local Schools is located in North East Ohio.  As a medium sized district, we are responsible for educating nearly 3200 students.  Our district consists of six school buildings including two Primary buildings, grades K-2, two Intermediate buildings, grades 3-5, a single Middle school, grades 6-8, and a single High school, grades 9-12. The Border Creek Local SD spans a single township which represents a diverse ethnic, cultural, and social economic population.  As with most districts within our region, Border Creek Local Schools has struggled with the harsh economic realities of our dwindling manufacturing centered economy.  In spite of our district’s challenges, our district continues to provide a quality education to our students and scores above the state-wide average for student assessments.

About our School:

Lincoln Intermediate has a current enrollment of approximately four hundred and twenty students.  Our school houses twenty-four classrooms.  Six classrooms each for grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th, a single classroom each for Art and Music, and the remaining classrooms allotted for Special Education.

About our Students:

The Lincoln Intermediate consists of a diverse student body including 80% Caucasian, 10% African-American, 5% Hispanic, 3% Asian-American, and 2% biracial students.  Nearly 70% of our students live in two-parent households, 27% living in single-parent household, and the remaining 3% living with other guardians or foster parents.
